Another view

My view from the bleachers would not be complete without the mention of my wife Joanne.  She has been by my side and has been the rock of our family.  My view from the bleachers has been her view for over 30 years.  We have had some tough times and some very good times.  In my hurry to post a suitable blog I inadvertantly left her out.  I apologize to you Joanne.  You are a very big piece of my life and I love you.

My view from the bleachers

Welcome to my Blog.  I have spent the better portion of my life either in front of the bleachers or in the bleachers.  Whether it was performing on the field with drum corps or winterguard or watching my kids performing in drumcorps or winterguard.....bleachers have played a big part of my life.  I am arriving very soon at that 60 mark in my life and from the time I was 8 years old I have viewed life from the bleacher perspective.  My family has shared in this with me.  Sometimes I know that they wished to be somewhere else but they stuck it out for my sake.  I thank them for that.  I have watched them perform with tears in my eyes on more than one occasion and felt that pride that I know my Mom and Dad felt when I was performing.  I thank them all for sharing this with me.

Now I am once again in the bleachers....but this time watching each of my children as they perform their lives.  What a joy to watch them with their families, their jobs, their lives.  I am very proud of each of my children.  They bring joy to my life.  They bring pain sometimes too but that is all part of life and I love them no matter what they do.  I thank God every day for them.

Not sure what you will see in this blog.  Sometimes just stuff that rattles my chain, maybe reports on my small connection to the marching world and my thoughts on that, reports on my grand children etc.  If you watch this blog thank you.....it will be the musing of an old man.....one that has made the bleachers his life.  Thanks for reading.
